Install the Roblox Studio AI plugin

The Roblox AI Game Maker plugin puts a prompt box inside Roblox Studio. Connect it to your account once and every prompt you type builds straight into the open place.

1

Install the plugin

Download the plugin file and put it in your Studio plugins folder (in Studio: Plugins → Plugins Folder). Restart Studio and the AI Game Maker button appears in the toolbar.

How to install the Roblox Studio AI plugin

  1. 1

    Download the plugin file

Download RobloxAIGameMaker.rbxmx from this page. It is a normal Roblox model file that contains the plugin's scripts. No installer is needed.

  2. 2

    Open your plugins folder

In Roblox Studio, open the Plugins tab and click Plugins Folder. On Windows this is usually %LOCALAPPDATA%\Roblox\Plugins, and on macOS it is Documents/Roblox/Plugins.

  3. 3

Drop the file in and restart Studio

Move the downloaded file into that folder and restart Studio. A Roblox AI Game Maker toolbar appears in the Plugins tab with two buttons: AI Game Maker opens the panel, and Prompt box shows or hides the prompt box in the viewport.

  4. 4

    Connect your account

Click Connect in the plugin panel. It shows an 8 character code. Sign in on this page, enter the code and press Connect. The plugin picks up the connection within a few seconds and remembers it.

  5. 5

    Allow web requests

The first time the plugin talks to robloxaigamemaker.org, Studio asks whether to allow it. Allow it, otherwise the plugin cannot send your prompt to the AI.

  6. 6

    Type your first prompt

Open a place, select a part or model, and describe what it should do. The AI builds it, play-tests it, and the whole change is one step in Studio's undo history.

Try a prompt

Write what you want to build. If your Studio is connected, it is sent there right away; if not, it is saved here until you finish connecting.

What the AI plugin does in Roblox Studio

Builds into your open place

Parts, models, tools, server scripts, local scripts, lighting and UI are created as real instances in Explorer. Nothing is a screenshot or a separate project.

Reads before it writes

The AI looks at what is already in your game, and at whatever you selected or mentioned with @, before it changes anything.

Play-tests its own work

After building, the AI starts a playtest, reads the output and fixes errors it finds, as part of the same prompt.

Pick your model

Choose the AI model in the plugin. Cheaper models are fine for tweaks; stronger ones are better at whole systems and tricky bugs.

Continue long builds

Big requests have a step limit. If a build reaches it, press Continue in the plugin to keep going in the same conversation.

Asks before deleting

The plugin asks for your approval before it deletes more than a few objects, and every prompt can be undone with one Ctrl+Z.

Using the plugin every day

The AI Game Maker button opens the panel with your conversation, the model picker, your credit balance and what each prompt cost. The Prompt box button shows a floating prompt box in the viewport, so you can type without opening the panel.

Type @ to mention an object from Explorer, or select it before you send. Each prompt shows what the AI changed when it finishes. If a big build stops at its step limit, a Continue button appears so it can keep going in the same conversation.

What you need

Roblox Studio on Windows or macOS, signed in with your Roblox account, and an internet connection. You need edit access to the place you open; the plugin works in new baseplates, templates and games you have already started.

A free Roblox AI Game Maker account. Sign up with your email; new accounts get 2 credits and a free model, so you can try the plugin without a card.

Plugin permissions and your data

The plugin only talks to robloxaigamemaker.org. When you send a prompt, it sends the prompt and the parts of your place the AI asks to look at, such as the names and properties of selected objects or the source of a script it needs to edit. The AI’s changes come back as instructions the plugin applies in Studio.

Changes stay inside your game’s own services, like Workspace, ServerScriptService, StarterGui and Lighting. Large deletions need your approval in the plugin, and every prompt is recorded as a single undo step, so Ctrl+Z reverses everything that prompt did.

Your connection is stored in Studio’s plugin settings on your computer. You can disconnect a Studio from your account at any time on this page.

Install problems and fixes

I do not see the toolbar after installing

Make sure the file ends in .rbxmx and sits directly in the plugins folder, not in a subfolder, then restart Studio completely. Check the Plugins tab, and Manage Plugins, for Roblox AI Game Maker.

The plugin says it cannot reach the server

Studio may have blocked the web request. Open Manage Plugins, find Roblox AI Game Maker and allow its HTTP requests to robloxaigamemaker.org. A firewall or school network can also block it.

The code does not connect

Codes expire after 10 minutes. Click Connect in the plugin again for a fresh code and enter it on this page while signed in to the same account you want to use.

My prompt from the website did not arrive

Prompts sent from the website wait until a connected Studio with the plugin is open. Open Studio and the plugin picks the prompt up automatically.

Roblox Studio AI plugin FAQ

Is the Roblox Studio AI plugin free?

Yes. The plugin is free to download. New accounts get 2 credits and a free model with a daily limit. Credits are used by the AI when it builds; Pro and credit packs add more.

Does it work on Mac?

Yes. The plugin runs anywhere Roblox Studio runs, on Windows and macOS.

Does it work in an existing game?

Yes. Open any place you can edit. The AI reads the Explorer first, so it builds around what is already there.

Does my game need HttpService enabled?

No. Plugin web requests are separate from your game's HTTP setting. Studio only asks once whether the plugin may contact robloxaigamemaker.org.

Is this an official Roblox plugin?

No. Roblox AI Game Maker is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation. It uses the standard Studio plugin system.

How long does a prompt take?

Most mechanics finish in under a minute, including the playtest. Bigger builds take longer, and the free model is slower than the paid ones.

How do I remove it?

Delete RobloxAIGameMaker.rbxmx from your plugins folder and restart Studio. You can also disconnect Studio from your account on this page.
